WHAT HAPPENED? DIESEL RUNS MUCKDOGS OFF TRACKS, 9-1

July 5, 2026

BATAVIA, NY- In a game we all thought would be a cakewalk for for Muckdogs turned into the

Muckdogs getting walked to an L. The Diesel would start the game off with 3 unanswered runs

in the first 4 innings, the first coming when Alex Seifert was hit by a pitch, Aiden Mroz would

score a few innings later on a wild pitch, then Adam Scibetta would bet driven in on a Marc

DiLeo RBI single, 3-0. The ‘Dogs would put up their only run in the 5th on a Brayden Redmond

RBI single to drive in Jalen Roque, 3-1. Buffalo over the course of the rest of the game would

put up 6 unanswered runs on 2 singles, a two-run E9, and two dropped-third strikes. Without a

Muckdog response, they would drop this out-of-league 7 inning game 9-1.

Offensively for the Diesel, Nolan Evans (1 for 3, 2 HBP, 2 runs, RBI), Alex Seifert (HBP, RBI,

run) and Aiden Mroz (2 for 4, 2B, SB, run) stood out. For Batavia, Jalen Roque went 1 for 3 with

a double and a run, and Brayden Redmond went 1 for 2 with an RBI.

The winning pitcher of today’s matchup was Billy Quinn, who threw 2 innings of one run ball

striking out 3, while Logan Thomas takes the L, throwing 2 innings of one hit ball, allowing only

one run. No save was credited.
