THREE STRAIGHT W’S AS MUCKDOGS BEAT JAMESTOWN 10-6

BATAVIA, NY- Your Batavia Muckdogs areon a roll, as they beat their rival Jamestown Tarp Skunks in a revenge game, 10-6. The Muckdogs started the scoring off in the third on a Jeremy Ramos 2 RBI double. In the bottom of the third, however, Batavia’s starting pitcher Matt Marsh was taken out of the game with arm soreness, he is now ruled as day-to-day. In support of their starter, Jackson Inman scored on a Glenn Brooks triple, followed up by a Cooper Romich double, making the game 4-0. The Muckdogs would continue to pile on as 4 more came across to make the score 8-0 after 5. Then the lights came on, and Jamestown came to life scoring 6 in the top of the 6th. That would be the only life they showed, however, as the Muckdogs would score two more insurance runs in the 7th, and go ahead to close out the game and win 10-6.

Offensively for the Tarp Skunks, the three standouts during the game were Eric Weeks (3 for 3, 1 run, 1 RBI, 1 BB), Grant Moore (2 for 4, 1 run, 1 RBI, 1 BB), and Matthew Dumas (3 for 4, 1 run, 1 SB). For your Batavia Muckdogs, Jackson Inman in his return to Batavia went 3 for 4 with 2 runs and an RBI. Glenn Brooks also stood out, going 3 for 4 with a triple, a run, and 3 RBIs. Finally, Jeremy Ramos went 2 for 4 with a double, a run, and 3 RBIs. Evan Brock extended his hit streak to 5 games.

Jake Page earned the win in this one for your Muckdogs, throwing 1.1 IP with 3 K’s. Jamestown’s Tait Johnson takes the L in this one, throwing 4 IP with 3 K’s. No save was registered for today’s game.
