THEY ARE BACK; MUCKDOGS A WIN AWAY FROM 1ST PLACE AFTER W OVER AUBURN 9-3

July 23, 2026

BATAVIA, NY- Your Muckdogs are back to the win column after finding Muckdogs baseball

again. The ‘Dogs would get going immediately in the first, driving in four runs on an Evan

Brock RBI single and a bases-clearing double off Cooper Russell’s bat. Auburn would answer

with one of their own on a Brayden Michaelson RBI single, 4-1 Batavia. After that run, however,

the Muckdogs would completely take over the fifth inning, scoring 5 on a Jackson Inman RBI

single, a Jalen David RBI single, a double steal scoring Jalen David, another double steal scoring

Braedon Reina, and an RBI triple off Jackson Inman’s bat, making the score 9-1 Muckdogs.

Auburn would score once in both the 8th and 9th on a Jaden Madrid fielder’s choice and a Justin

Batts RBI single, however neither run would matter as the Muckdogs would close out the game,

beating Auburn and getting one step closer to securing 1st place in the West, 9-3.

Offensively for Auburn, Justin Batts (2 for 3, 2B, RBI, BB, run) stood out as the only multi-hit

player on the Doubledays today. For your Muckdogs, Jackson Inman went 2 for 3 with a triple, 2

RBIs, a run, and a walk, Cooper Russell went 1 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs, Mason Davey

went 2 for 3 with a double and a run, Jalen David went 1 for 3 with 3 stolen bags, 2 runs, an RBI

and a run, and Braedon Reina went 1 for 3 with 3 stolen bags, a run, and a walk.

season. Joe Williams threw 4 innings of 5 run ball (4 earned); he struck out 1 and took his 3rd L

of the season. No save was registered.
