NOT GOOD; ‘DOGS DROP CRUCIAL GAME AT HOME VS JAMESTOWN 6-5

July 13, 2026

BATAVIA, NY- Every matchup with Jamestown goes one of three ways every time. Either it is a

remarkably close game that ends with a walk-off or 1-run save, a mercy rule happens, or the

‘Dogs tie those ‘Skunks. This was one of those first cases. Jamestown would put a number up on

the scoreboard first when Anthony Trommer would reach on an error, scoring Eric Weeks.

Batavia would clap back in the bottom half of the first twice, the first on an RBI double from

Jackson Inman, the second from a Braedon Reina RBI single, 2-1 ‘Dogs. The ‘Skunks would put

two of their own up on RBI singles from both Grant Moore and Nolan Smith. They would be

answered in the 4th, however, on an Evan Brock RBI double, tying the game at 3 apiece.

Jamestown would pull ahead in the 5th on back-to-back RBI singles from Dom Castello and CJ

Dugan, then again in the 7th on a Branston Lindquist RBI double, making the score 6-3. Then

the 9th inning. James Quintero hit an RBI triple driving in Myles Monell, 6-4. Evan Brock hit an

RBI groundout to short, 6-5. Braeden Eye grounds out, 2 outs. Matt Marsh pinch hits. 0-2 count.

Strikes out looking, game over, 6-5 ‘Skunks.

Offensively for Jamestown, Nolan Smith (3 for 3, 2 BB, RBI, run), CJ Dugan (2 for 5, 2B, RBI,

run), Branston Lindquist (2 for 3, 2B, RBI, BB) and Anthony Trommer (2 for 4, 2 2B, BB, run)

all stood out. For your Muckdogs, Braedon Reina was the only one on the ‘Dogs to have a multi-

hit game, going 2 for 3 with a run, RBI and walk. James Quintero also stood out, going 1 for 3

with a triple, RBI, and a run.

Zach McLean picked up his first win of the season, throwing 6 innings allowing 2 earned on 4

hits, striking out 10. Gavin Chandler’s undefeated season ends, taking his first L throwing 5

innings allowing 4 earned on 10 hits, striking out 2. Collin Pence picks up save #4 on the season.
