BATAVIA, NY- This game got started right away and quickly. Manny Castro grounded out to

first, scoring Caleb Delaney, 1-0 Pios. Elmira kept the offense going on the 2nd when Jalyn

Tidwell hit an RBI triple, them Tysan Gingerich hit an RBI single, making it a 3-0 game. Your

Muckdogs would respond with two of their own, as Jalen David would reach on an error to score

Jaden Vasquez, and Jackson Inman would hit a sac-fly, driving in Jalen David making a ballgame

in the first two innings, 3-2. The Pios would just continue to pile on, scoring three more on a

passed ball, a wild pitch, and a bases-loaded walk, 6-2 Pios. Up until this point, the Muckdogs

only had one hit coming from a Jaden Vasquez single back in the 3rd. However, something

changed in the 8th, as a switch was flipped. Batavia found themselves with the bases loaded.

Then a run in the form of Jaden Vasquez was walked in, then Braedon Reina would cross on an

Evan Brock RBI single, then another on a Myles Monell sac-fly, and a fourth on a Jalen Roque

RBI single, making the score tied at 6. This Muckdogs team could not be stopped. Garrett

Beaver came in in the top of the 9th and went 1-2-3. As the Muckdogs came back up, you could

tell the energy in the air was different. James Quintero was hit by a pitch, Bryan Johnson singled

on a bunt, then Jaden Vasquez also singled on a rare back-2-back bunt, loading the bases. Then,

in a moment of glory on a 2-2 count, Jalen David fired a ground ball to short that he could not

field cleaning, scoring James Quintero on an error, walking off the Elmira Pioneers in fashion

with a score of 7-6.

Offensively for Elmira, Nick Spaner was the only Pioneer with a multi hit game, going 2 for 5

with a run. For your Muckdogs, although he did not have a hit, Jalen David drove in the game-

winning run and had 2 stolen bags bringing his league-leading total to 33 on the season.

Otherwise, Jaden Vasquez went 2 for 2 with 2 runs, 2 walks and 2 stolen bags, and was the only

Muckdog with more than 1 hit in the game.

Garrett Beaver picks up win #2, throwing the final inning not allowing a hit or run while striking

1 out. Lucas Rylander advances his record to 1-2, not throwing a registered inning while

allowing 2 hits with 1 run crossing, not earned, without a strikeout. No save was registered.

The Batavia Muckdogs will be home next on Monday, July 13th at 6:30 against the Jamestown
