MUCKDOGS TAKE SECOND STRAIGHT IN AS THEY DROP TO AUBURN 8-4

July 22, 2026

AUBURN, NY- As good as your Muckdogs are, they occasionally have their hiccups. This one

did not start with a hiccup however, as Cooper Russell hit an RBI single to center scoring

Jackson Inman. Auburn would answer with their own, however, as Jaden Madrid would score on

a passed ball, 1-1. Glenn Brooks would put the Muckdogs ahead again in the 4th on an RBI

single scoring Braedon Reina, but would be answered by a Juston Batts RBI single, tying the

game back up at 2. Then the 5th inning would strike. A fielder’s choice RBI bunt, an RBI single,

a walk, a hit-by-pitch, and a 2 RBI single later, and the Doubledays are up 8-2. Batavia would

put up two in the 6th on a Glenn Brooks 2 RBI single, but otherwise no one else would cross the

plate as the Muckdogs would go down 8-4 in Auburn.

Offensively for the Doubledays, Jaden Madrid (2 for 5, RBI, 2 runs, SB), Flynn Shoop (2 for 3,

RBI, BB, run) and Teddy Monahan (1 for 4, 3B, 2 runs) stood out. For your Muckdogs, Glenn

Brooks went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs, Cooper Russell went 1 for 3 with an RBI, a stolen bag and a

walk, and Braedon Reina went 1 for 3 with a stolen bag, 2 runs and a walk.

William Baker III picks his 5th win of the season up, throwing a complete game with 7

strikeouts, allowing 3 earned on 7 hits. Mason Davey takes his 1st L of the season, throwing 1

inning with 1 strikeout, allowing 6 runs (none earned) on 3 hits. No save was registered.
