MUCKDOGS TAKE FIRST L OF THE SEASON AGAINST OLEAN
May 31, 2026
BATAVIA, NY- The Oilers came out the gates swinging, scoring two runs in the first inning. The Muckdogs would respond with 3 of their own but would be reciprocated by 6 straight runs scored by Olean. Batavia would bring 4 more across, but it would wind up being too little too late, as your Muckdogs drop their third game of the season, 10-7.
Derek Staudt and Grant Fournier would be reoccurring presences during the game, as Staudt would go 2 for 4 with a walk and 2 RBI’s and Fournier went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI’s as well. For the Muckdogs, Glenn Brooks, 2 for 3 with a walk, Evan Brock, 2 for 3, and Landon Hu, 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, all stood out.
Brady Berdine would earn the win after throwing 5 innings, striking out 2 and allowing 3 earned runs. Jackson Reid would take on the loss, pitching only 0.2 innings allowing 3 earned runs. Carrick Ryan earned an 8-out save.
The Batavia Muckdogs are home again on Wednesday June 3rd at 6:30 where they are taking on the Jamestown Tarp Skunks on our No Farms No Food night! Get tickets by calling (585) 524-2260 or stopping by our box office. Go Dogs!
