MUCKDOGS SWEEP DOUBLEHEADER; 12-0 MERCY AND 6-5 WINS OVER IRONBACKS

June 27, 2026

BATAVIA, NY- Game 1 and 2 could not have been more different in terms of score. In Game 1,

the Muckdogs were not messing around, scoring 2 in the 1st, 3 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th, 5 in the

5th, and (literally) walk it off in the bottom of the 6 th on a 4-pitch walk to mercy-rule the

Ironbacks 12-0. Game 1 stars include the pitching staff of Mason Davey (5.1 IP, 6 SO, 2 Hits, 0

ER, 4 BB) and Dean Hoshide (0.2 IP, 1 SO, 1 Hit, 0 BB, 0 ER), as well as Jackson Inman (3 for

4, 2B, 3 Runs, 1 RBI), Evan Brock (2 for 3, 2 RBI, 2 Runs, 1 BB), and Glenn Brooks (3 for 3,

2B, 2 SB, 2 RBI, 2 Runs).

Game 2 was shaped much different as previously said. The scoring started immediately, as

Jordan Gallo would score Michael Gregus on an error in the 1st, responded to by 2 runs of the

Muckdogs’ own in the bottom of the inning, as Jalen David scored on a wild pitch and Evan

Brock getting hot once again driving in Cooper Russell to put up Batavia 2-1. The Ironbacks

would put up three more in the 3rd, the first on a passed ball, the second and third on a Jordan

Gallo 2 RBI single, Ironbacks up 4-3. Brayden Redmond would take the lead back for Batavia in

the 4th on a 2 RBI single of his own, 5-4 ‘Dogs. Niagara’s final run came on a wild pitch, but it

would be matched in the 6th by a Braeden Eye RBI single, then overpowered by the powers of

Garrett Beaver to shut down the Ironbacks and win, 6-5 Muckdogs.

Mason Davey takes home his 2nd win of the season in game 1, while Cal Noonan takes the

whopping L in Game 1, making his record fall to 1-3. Game 2’s W gets hand delivered to Garrett

Beaver, while the L is put in the arms of Luka Abell. No saves were registered in either game.

The Batavia Muckdogs will be home next on Monday, June 29th at 6:30 against the Syracuse
