MUCKDOGS STAY HOT, BURYING OLEAN OILERS 11-1

June 7, 2026

OLEAN, NY- Unusual start, but expected ending to today’s game, as neither team showed very much life in the first two innings. But once the 3rd inning started, there was no stopping those ‘Dogs, as their first run came when Jalen David reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Jeremy Ramos. In the same inning, Batavia would score again on a Braeden Eye sac fly, scoring Mason Davey. Olean would score in the bottom of the 3rd on a Conner Vercollone double, scoring Armanis Romero, but it really would not matter as the Muckdogs would proceed to score 9 unanswered runs throughout the rest of the game, securing a dominate win in a revenge game over Olean, 11-1.

Offensively, Conner Vercollone stood out, going 1 for 4 and driving in the only run for the Oilers, preventing a shutout. Aiden Willard also stood out, coming into the game as a pinch hitter and smacking a triple to right field. For your Muckdogs, Evan Brock is on fire in the greatest way possible, going 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, 1 SB, and a run of his own. Glenn Brooks swung his heart out while going 2 for 5 with a big fly over the left field wall. Jeremy Ramos went 3 for 4 today with 2 RBIs, 1 SB and 1 run. The final shout out goes Jalen Roque’s way as he broke out on the road, going 2 for 4 with 2 runs of his own and an RBI.

Gavin Chandler of your Batavia Muckdogs picked up his 2nd win of his season, throwing 7 innings of one run ball, striking out 6 along the way. Brady Berdine would pick up an L in this one, throwing 3 innings and striking out 1. No save was rewarded due to run gap.
