MUCKDOGS KEEP ON KEEPING ON; BEAT IRONBACKS 8-6
June 30, 2026
NIAGARA, CAN- Your Muckdogs continue to win, as they went to Canada and dominated.
Another slow start in this one, but the ‘Dogs got the scoring started in the 3rd, as Evan Brock hit
a 2 RBI single, followed by a Brayden Redmond RBI single, making the score 3-0. Batavia
would further their lead as Evan Brock would strike again, hitting a 2 RBI double in the 5th,
followed by a Jalen David sac-fly in the 6th, as well as a Jackson Inman RBI double in the 6th,
making the score 7-0. Niagara would fire back with a solo home run by Connor Gaitens in the
7th, but it would be answered by an Evan Brock sac-fly in the 8th, making the score 8-1. Then
the unthinkable struck; London Prashad would score on a wild pitch, then two at-bats later,
Connor Gaitens would strike by hitting a grand slam in the 8th, making the score 8-6. However,
nothing else would happen as Kaleb Locatelli would shut down the ‘Dogs, and Eric Woodley
would shut down the Ironbacks, ending the game 8-6 in favor of the Muckdogs.
Offensively for the Ironbacks, Connor Gaitens (2 for 4, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 2 runs) and Jordan Gallo (2
for 3, SB, BB, run) stood out. For your Muckdogs, Evan Brock went 2 for 2 with a double, 5
RBIs, 2 walks and a run, Jalen David went 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI, his 26th stolen bag of
the year, and 2 runs, and Jackson Inman went 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI, a stolen bag, two
walks and a run.
Dean Hoshide went on to take the win tonight, throwing 2 innings with 4 strikeouts. Jack Kemp
receives an L here, throwing 3 innings with 4 Ks. Eric Woodley picks up his 3rd save of the year,
throwing the final inning while striking out 2.
The Batavia Muckdogs will be home next tomorrow, July 1st at 6:30 against the Jamestown Tarp
