MUCKDOGS EARN 5TH STRAIGHT REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE; MERCY AMERICANS 14-4

BATAVIA, NY- Your 2026 Muckdogs are officially Regular Season Champions of the PGCBL
West Division for the 5th straight season, and they completed it in fashion. This one started in the
1st inning on back-to-back runs scored by the Americans’ Loagan Stickler (RBI double) and
Adam Weiss (sac-fly). Aside from two other Americans runs, one in the 6th on a Loagan Stickler
walk and one in the 7th on a Ryotaro Munakata single, it was all Muckdogs. Jacob Veczko would
hit a sac-fly in the 1st, Jeremy Ramos would hit an RBI triple, and Brayden Redmond would hit
an RBI double in the 3rd, Luke Rybczynski would bunt for a single and Patricio Garcia would
score, Braden Eye would hit an RBI single, and Evan Brock would hit a 2 RBI triple in the 4th,
Jeremy Ramos would hit a 2 RBI single and advance to third on a two-base error scoring a 3rd
run in the 5th, and in the 7th Braden Eye would hit an RBI single and Jeremy Ramos would hit a
2 RBI double to walk off the Americans 14-4.
Offensively for Niagara Falls, Thomas Marcotte (2 for 3, 2B, run), Loagan Stickler (1 for 2, 2B,
RBI, BB, run), and Adam Weiss (1 for 2, 2B, RBI) all stood out. For your Muckdogs, Jeremy
Ramos went 3 for 3 with a triple, double, 5 RBIs, 2 runs, and 2 walks, Evan Brock went 2 for 3
with a triple, double, 2 RBIs and a walk, and Braden Eye went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs.
Both Michael Whelehan and Jalen David stole a base each, tying the team single season record
for most stolen bases at 168.
Walter Garrett picks up his 2nd W of the season, throwing an inning of 1 K ball, allowing no
runs on 1 hit. Aiden Mroz takes his 4th L of the season, throwing 4 innings of 2 K ball, allowing
8 earned on 8 hits. No save was registered.
The Batavia Muckdogs will be home next on Monday, July 27th at 6:30 against the Auburn
