MUCKDOGS DROP NAILBITER IN EXTRAS VS DIESEL 5-3
June 12, 2026
BATAVIA, NY- Your Muckdogs and the visiting Diesel went head-to-head in an instant out-of-
league exhibition game classic, as the first run was not scored until the 3 rd as Aiden Mroz was
driven in by an Adam Scibetta single, followed up in the 4 th when Nolan Evans was walked in.
Batavia would respond with two of their own in the bottom of the 4 th , courtesy of doubles of the
bats of Joey Socorro and Jalen Roque. Neither team would score again until extras in the 8 th
inning. A triple from Billy Morris would score two, then he would score as well from a single off
the bat of Jordan Kowalski. Batavia would answer with one run of their own from a Jeremy
Ramos sac fly but would strand runners at 2 nd and 3 rd as the game would end 5-3.
Top offensive performances from the Buffalo Diesel today come from the hands of Billy Morris
(2 for 4, 3B, 2 RBIs, run) and Aiden Mroz (2 for 4, SB, run). For your Muckdogs, Cooper
Russell in his debut went 2 for 3 with a 2B and a run. Jalen Roque showed life at home today as
well, smacking a two-bagger and scoring once.
The Diesel’s Jake Hartford takes home the W in this instant classic, throwing 3 innings and
striking out 5. The other debut-man for the Muckdogs, Colin Stephanucci, receives the loss for
this game, also throwing 3 IP, striking out 4.
