MUCKDOGS ARE YOUR FIRST PLACE REGULAR SEASON WEST DIVISION CHAMPIONS

Batavia, NY - Eric Woodley tossed eight innings, allowing one run as the Muckdogs beat the Tarp Skunks 4-1, clinching first place in the PGCBL West Division.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Batavia has finished with the best record in the west.

The Muckdogs got on the board first, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning on RBI singles from Omar Carreras and Jacob Veczko.

Jamestown starter Easton Barnett settled in after his first-inning struggles, tossing four scoreless frames. He exited after five innings, allowing two runs.

After allowing four hits over the first two innings, Woodley did not allow another hit.

Right-hander Dawson Thomas came on in relief of Barnett in the sixth. After keeping Batavia off the board in the sixth and seventh, the Muckdogs added insurance in the eighth on a two-run double from extra hitter Cooper Fesh.

Up 4-0 into the ninth inning, Woodley went for a complete game shutout, but was pulled after back-to-back walks opened the inning. Luc Rising came on in relief. The Tarp Skunks loaded the bases with nobody out, but managed just one run as the Muckdogs won 4-1.

With the win, the Muckdogs closed out the 2025 regular season 31-13-1. The Tarp Skunks dropped to 29-14.
