MUCKDOGS 2025 RECAP & EVENTS TO COME
Batavia, NY- The Batavia Muckdogs had an amazing season on the field, finishing first place overall in the West Division regular season for the fourth consecutive season & won the PGCBL West Division Championship in 2025. As Muckdogs baseball comes to a close Dwyer Stadium will be in full swing with other community events.
The Muckdogs kicked off the season walking in the annual Batavia Memorial Day Parade during training camp. Players & coaches visited local schools as well. Then the day before the season started the Muckdogs hosted a special meet & greet at Eli Fish Brewing, where season ticket holders met the Muckdogs.
As the season kicked off the Muckdogs hosted over 500 youth baseball & softball buddies during the year playing catch pre-game before games at Dwyer Stadium. The Muckdogs hosted Challenger Division Baseball for an incredible day as player & coach buddies, assisting players with physical and intellectual challenges throughout the day. Dwyer Stadium along with Muckdogs staff and players hosted baseball training camps as well, throughout the season. The Batavia Muckdogs teamed up with over 25 non-profits or charity organizations helping spread awareness and raise funds for their causes. The Muckdogs hosted Strike-Out Cancer Night in partnership with Wilmot Cancer Institute, Military Appreciation Night with all veterans receiving free entry, Stop DWI teamed up to educated over 500 youth fans on driver safety, the Muckdogs closed out the regular season on July 28th collecting donations for the Genesee County Animal Shelter. Dwyer stadium also hosted over 9 weeks of GLOW Academy baseball tournaments this summer as well.
The Muckdogs not only had an incredible season off the field and in the Community but on field as well. “From day one we knew something special was going to happen this summer in Batavia. Our coaching staff did a great job preparing these players and we knew it would show on the field” – Owner Robbie Nichols. The Muckdogs had 8 players make the 2025 PGCBL All-Star Team & captured a first-place finish in the West & West Division Championship Title with a .700-win percentage (2nd in the entire league). The Muckdogs fell short of winning the PGCBL League Championship Series vs the Saugerties Stallions.
Dwyer Stadium will host several events before closing for the summer. Friday August 8th at 6 PM Batavia Youth Baseball will host Band Slam, featuring local bands 99 North, The OHMS Band, & Savage Cabbage. The following day Saturday August 9th the Muckdogs teamed up with HOGS for PAWS from 10 AM – 2 PM Presented by WBTA at Dwyer Stadium collecting donations for local animals in need. SUNY Geneseo will be hosting their Annual Alumni Game on Saturday August 13th. Returning for the 5th straight year on Saturday October 25th Muckdogs Trick or Treat 3 – 6 PM, a free event for the children of our community.
