MAGIC NUMBER TO 3 AS JAMESTOWN LOSES; MUCKDOGS LOSE TO IRONBACKS 8-4

July 19, 2026

BATAVIA, NY- Not all bad news was in Batavia, even though an unfortunate result. Niagara

started right off the get-go with a Connor Gaitens sac-fly in the 1st, 1-0 Ironbacks. The

Canadians would continue the scoring in the 5th with a Jordan Gallo RBI double, as well as

Kieran Cutler reaching to third on a three-base error, scoring three runs, making the score 5-0.

Your Muckdogs would hit the scoreboard in the 7th for the first time on a Mason Davey 2 RBI

single and a Jeremy Ramos RBI single, 5-3. However, those would get immediately answered by

a Wes Thompson base-clearing double, 8-3 Ironbacks. Batavia would put up one more in the 9th

on a Jeremy Ramos RBI single, but it would not matter as the Ironbacks would close this one

out, winning 8-4.

Offensively for Niagara, Jordan Gallo (2 for 5, 2B, RBI, run), Josh Bullock (2 for 4, BB, run)

and Wes Thompson (1 for 2, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 BB, run) all stood out. For your Muckdogs, Evan

Brock went 2 for 4, Mason Davey went 2 for 4 with a triple, 2 RBIs and a run, and Jeremy

Ramos went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs.

Cal Noonan picked up his 4th win of the season, throwing 6.2 innings, allowing 0 earned on 6

hits, striking out 4. Gavin Chandler gets his 2nd loss of the season, throwing 5 innings, allowing

2 earned on 6 hits, striking out 4. No save was registered.

The Batavia Muckdogs will be home next on Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30 against the Newark
