GENEVA, NY- The Muckdogs started their chase for home field advantage strong. In the first

6.5 innings, it was all Batavia, scoring 8 runs. It all started off with a bases-clearing double from

Joey Socorro in the first, followed by a Kyle Vaughn 2-run homer also in the first. Newcomer

Jaden Vasquez would start finding his footing in the box as he would knock an RBI double in the

second, then hit an RBI single in the 4th. Cooper Russell would show off as well, going yard on

a solo shot, capping off the 8 unanswered. Geneva would score their only 2 runs in the bottom of

the 7th on a fielder’s choice, but neither would matter as Batavia would score two more time in

the 8th and once in the 9th on a Joey Socorro RBI single, a wild pitch, and a Jackson Inman

groundout. Walter Garrett would come in in the 9th, and the rest is history. Muckdogs win 11-2.
