FREE BIRD ACTIVATED; MUCKDOGS HOLD ON IN 2-1 W OVER AMERICANS

July 4, 2026

NIAGARA FALLS, NY- As fireworks flew at the Falls, the Muckdogs celebrated their 4th

straight win. This instant classic featured amazing pitching, as one of the three of the runs scored

were earned, and the first run was not scored until the 6th inning when Glenn Brooks would

reach on an error as Evan Brock scored, 1-0 ‘Dogs. Niagara would clap back in the bottom of the

8th, as Matthew Ganschow would go yard, tying the game at 1 run a piece. Batavia would score

the third and final run of the game on an E1, allowing Kyle Vaughn to reach base and Myles

Monell to score, making the score 2-1 in favor of the Muckdogs. Eric Woodley would throw the

final 2 innings of the game, locking down the final out on a groundout, Muckdogs edging out the

Americans 2-1.

Offensively for Niagara Falls, nine hitters had one hit a piece but the one that stood out was

Matthew Ganschow who went 1 for 3 with a house call, an RBI, and a run. For your Muckdogs,

Joey Socorro went 2 for 4 with a triple, and the other person that went 2 for 4 was Myles Monell

who had a run scored.

Eric Woodley takes home his third win of the season, throwing 2 innings with a strikeout, and

Porter Slattery takes the L, throwing an inning allowing only two hits. However, we cannot skip

over the two amazing starts witnessed in Gavin Chandler of your Muckdogs throwing 7 innings

of 4 hit baseball with 9 punch-outs and Aiden Mroz of the Americans throwing 8 innings with 5

strikeouts. No save was registered.
