BATAVIA WINS AGAIN, BEATS NYCBL SALT CATS 3-2 IN 7 INNINGS
June 29, 2026
BATAVIA, NY- This was a defensive, nail-biting game that came down to the final at-bat. This
game started off scoring in the 3rd when Aaron Graves hit an RBI single to drive in Mason
Smith, then Kellen Pens would drive in Aaron Graves on an RBI triple to put the Salt Cats ahead
2-0. Your Muckdogs would respond in the next half inning with a sac-fly off the bat of Brayden
Redmond, then again in the 4th when Jalen Roque would drive in Braeden Eye on an RBI single,
evening the score 2-2. Fast forward all the way to the bottom of the 7th when Jeremy Ramos
would hit a double, then be pinch run for by Jalen David. In a wild chain of events, David would
steal 3rd, then score on an arrant throw to walk off the Salt Cats and give the Muckdogs a 3-2
win.
Offensively for the Salt Cats, Aaron Graves (1 for 2, 2B, RBI, run) and Kellen Pens (1 for 2, 3B,
RBI) stood out. For your Muckdogs, Kyle Vaughn went 2 for 2 with a double, Jeremy Ramos
went 1 for 3 with the set-up double, and Jalen David scored the winning run and had a stolen
base.
Newly added to the roster Colin Stefanucci take home the win, throwing 1 inning without any
hits, run, or strikeouts. Mike Arndt takes the L, throwing a third of an inning while giving up the
winning run on an E2.
