BACK TO BACK WEST DIVISION CHAMPS!

BATAVIA, NY- Flashback to 2025, this exact game happened, and the Muckdogs won. Fast

forward to today, exact same matchup, one year later. The scoring started off in the 2nd inning

off of a throwing error by Paul Dulanto, allowing Jackson Inman to score, 1-0 ‘Dogs. Jamestown

answered right back in the next half inning on a 2 RBI single from Nolan Smith, 2-1 ‘Skunks.

Batavia would clap right back in the same inning, as Glenn Brooks would bat in Jalen David to

tie it, then Braedon Reina would come home on a wild pitch driving the Muckdogs ahead 3-2.

Jamestown would tie it back up at 3 a piece on an Anthony Trommer RBI double. This had

fought game would continue to be on its game of the year caliber status throughout the next few

innings of baseball, until the Muckdogs would break the streak of zeroes on an insanely clutch 2

RBI single off Joey Socorro’s bat when his name got called. Cooper Russell would score on a

wild pitch after that, making the score 6-3. Jamestown would answer with a sac-fly in the 9th,

however in would not be enough to come back, as Batavia beats Jamestown for the second

straight year in the West Division Championship game to become Back-to-Back West Division

Champions with a final score of 6-4.

Offensively for Jamestown, Anthony Trommer went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI, and

Nolan Smith went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a walk. For your back-2-back West Division

Champion Muckdogs, Joey Socorro went 1 for 3 with the 2-run go-ahead single, as well as a

walk. Jalen David, Glenn Brooks, Cooper Russell, Jaden Vasquez, and James Quintero all had

stolen bases today as well.

Garrett Beaver picks up the win in this one, throwing 2 innings while striking out 2, allowing no

runs earned on 0 hits. Collin Pence took the L here, throwing 3.1 innings while striking out 3,

allowing 3 earned on 4 hits. Eric Woodley picked up the save here.

The Batavia Muckdogs will be play next on Friday, July 31st at 6:30 against the winner of Utica

Blue Sox at Amsterdam Mohawks on Thursday, July 30th in the PGCBL Championship Game,
