BACK-TO-BACK MERCIES; MUCKDOGS SHATTER AMERICANS 15-3
June 15, 2026
NIAGARA FALLS, NY- Your Muckdogs got out to a rapid start, scoring 4 in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd, most notably Glenn Brooks blast a 3-run bomb in the top of the 2nd. Rewinding a touch, Niagara scored one in the 1st themselves on a Matt Ganschow ground out, scoring Justin Gladfelter. No run scoring would happen for a few innings until the 5th inning hit. Your Muckdogs would then continue to pound the Americans into the ground, as they would score first on a wild pitch, second on an error, then third on a Jackson Inman single. Batavia would continue the scoring in the 6th, first on a 2-run Myles Monell triple, next on a James Quintero single, and a Luke Rybczynski ground out, making the score 15-1 Batavia. Niagara Falls would respond with two of their own on a Matt Ganschow 2-RBI triple, but it would not matter in the long run as your Batavia Muckdogs would mercy the Niagara Falls Americans 15-3.
Offensively for the Americans, Matt Ganschow carried the team on his back as much as he could, going 1 for 2 with a triple, walk, and 3 RBI. As for your Muckdogs, Evan Brock has another game with a hit going 1 for 2 with a run, RBI, and a stolen base, extending his hit streak to 7 games. Myles Monell stood out, going 3 for 4 with 2 runs, 3 RBIs, and a triple. Last but most certainly not least is Glenn Brooks, who went 2 for 3 with a homer, 2 runs, 3 RBIs, and a stolen bag.
Carter “Fridge” Ward picks up the win in this one, pitching 2 innings, striking out 1. Jacsyn Moritz takes the L for the Americans, however, also throwing 2 IP with one K. No save was registered in this one.
