2022 PGCBL Championship Preview
The Batavia Muckdogs are going to the PGCBL Championship! The Muckdogs will take part in a best of 3 against the Amsterdam Mohawks! Game 1 will be at Amsterdam with a 6:45 PM Start. Game 2 will be at Dwyer with a 4:30 PM start. If needed Game 3 will be the same night with a 7:30 PM start.
Box Office opens at 9:00 AM on August 2nd, we hope to see lots of fans and the Batavia faithful out supporting the Muckdogs for this championship series!
Batavia Muckdogs Vs. Utica Blue Sox:
Jackson Murphy got the start on the mound for the Muckdogs, going 7 innings and throwing 7 strikeouts. Murphy allowed 0 runs and had another spectacular appearance on the bump for the Muckdogs. Trey Bacon pitched the final 2 innings in relief of Murphy, striking out 2. The Muckdogs pitching staff only allowed 6 hits and was able to shutout the Blue Sox.
Kyle Corso started out the scoring by driving home Josh Leadem with a triple to left field after Leadem reached on a fielders choice. In the 4th inning, Mitch Fleming hit a 3-run bomb up and over the right field wall, increasing the Muckdogs lead to 4-0. In the 6th inning Levis Aguila Jr. singled to bring home Brian Fry and Caleb Rodriguez walked in Abner Benitez. The Muckdogs complete shutdown Utica and came out with a 6-0 win.
